I see a lot of comments here and there that go something like this...
"50 points?? Why would I pay 50 points for an adopt..."
or...
"100 points? Are you sure you're not overpricing that...?!"
And I'm sure many of you have seen similar comments, now I understand that points aren't the easiest things to accumulate when you're fresh into dA or even well into your time here, as I was once a 13 year old kid who joined dA and got excited over her first 10 points

Well, that's how my story began anyway. Years ago, I made the mistake of going to a pro hockey game and within three hours fell madly in love with the smell of ice and the sound of blades. I left the building thinking to myself (and telling anyone who would listen to the ravings of a madwoman): "There has to be some way I can be involved in this for the rest of my life." What actually happened after that night is one of the wildest stories I've ever told and it's still a crazy ride. But getting on that ride and staying on is tricky.
So here's what I've learned so far about actually surviving sports photography

TeamWork- round 2!We're jumping right into a new round of our TeamWork-project!
We were really overwhelmed by the attendance last time, and since so many wanted another round, here we go

For all those who don't know the project yet, here are some answers to all the questionmarks over your head!
What is the project about?
The aim is to team up two artists to achieve a close and individual learning-experience.
One of the two will be the teacher, whereas the other will be the student. (But our teachers will learn through this project just as much, I'm sure )
Teachers will present assignments to their students and provide them with tools, techniques and lessons to achieve the goal they both decided on.
In the end we'll present all the finished assignments in a big chat event and on our group page!
There also might be prizes for Best TeamWork, Best Final Artwork and Strongest Improvement!
We will provide all teams with tips, rules and guidelines on teaching, as soon as al

Yesiree we have come a long way in just a few months, and to celebrate we are going to be doing a huge collab!! If you would like to, you can submit a drawing of a journeyer, wayfarer, etc (preferably transparent, but if you dont know how/cant do that, it is ok!), then we can put them all on a HUGE background! ANYONE can participate, and here are the rules to submit a drawing:
RULES OR THINGS TO BE ADVISED OF?? IDK:
~Make your pose interesting!! It is OK if your lil guy is just standing, but feel free to make him do anything you want, flying, chirping, you choose!
~OC's are accepted!! Though it is not necessary for you fella to be an OC! (also can be any color cloak)
~Once you have your drawing, make sure that the edges are clean!
~Submit your drawing to the group folder "Collab entries!" so that we can keep them all in one place :>

Cull Dogs Pet HomesEDIT:: Scribbling up designs for other folks, but only a few. You can give me a cull dog and a prompt and I'll make something up. Can't guarantee you'll adore it, but it should inspire something; you can build off what it inspires you to do rather than use my design, really. You could keep it for RP or as an OC yourself or pass on the character (no charge for the extra design and with a "no resale" clause). ::EDIT
I'm actually fresh out of points at the moment, but if anyone wants to give away their unhomed or returned offspring or dogs they've purchased and found inbred, instead of considering them stillborn/dead or retired, I'm willing to gather them and give them a pet-home (non-breeding).

Writing this journal, I feel I prematurely posted it. The goal was to get others talking about the writing process and how they approach it, but the emphasis became my work, which is a no-no! So with that in mind, here are some questions to take into consideration (and a silly one, because why not).
Do you feel your writing process is 'fixed,' or that it changes depending on what you are writing?
Do you edit as you write? How does this affect the finished product?

How come when you call a wrong number, someone is always home?

Kennel AffiliatesI am... considering... A "clean puppy replacement" program for Platinum Affiliates. If you lost a dog because of an excessively inbred bloodline (there are some that are sufficiently far away for breeding, still, and you can also ask CK for special permissions for some others) and I've got a breeding planned that'd replace the dog in question in your breeding program, you can have it free (or discount if I'm fund-raising) and even trade in your neutered dog. Thoughts?
Breedings are (currently) not exclusive to affiliates. Nor are adoptions. But it is an excellent way to keep track of already-cleared kennels and homes. If worse comes to worst, only affiliates will be given kennel (breeding) licenses and the rest will be sold dogs on a pet-home license (spayed/neutered). You needn't be licensed to breed your dogs, yet. You can plan to get it later or you can just never plan to breed, you just want to have the exclusive reserves.

Nudari Breeding ProjectIt's actually quite a simple project. I'll be breeding my lines for that ever-elusive no-white nudari (like all the wilds are supposed to be). Once I have all my nudari up, I can start planning, and looking for outside blood. May need to introduce some Pharaoh... I'll just have this journal sitting around to compare, visually, using thumbnails.
