My deviantART Story

Hello Everyone :wave:
:wow: Let's begin the 6 year time warp of "My deviantART Story" :TimeWarp:

I was introduced to deviantART in 2008, my first deviantART profile was under a different user name :nod: Everything was wonderful until the person that introduced me to deviantART began to persistently harass me, because he didn't like the fact I was doing well, having fun :blahblah: revamp  that I was learning how to improve my photography :camera:, and I had met many wonderful and helpful deviants :deviants: Not knowing how to stop the drama, I decided it was time to deactivate my account, because the harassment was awful Slowpoke and I didn't know about the "Block Feature"*looks around cluelessly* 

:bademoticon:About 6 months later I was browsing the deviantART Help & FAQ page, and to my surprise :wow: I see how to block a deviant :nod: FAQ #96: Can I block people from interacting with me? It didn't take long for me to decide that "I'm going to take a stand for myself" and started a new account that you all know me as JamminJo The first order of business to my JamminJo account was to block the person that was harassing me OMG MOAR POEMS!  and reconnect with true deviants such as Kaz-D, 3wyl and Emerald-Depths and many, many more Heart La

deviantART cares for all members, challenges us to be creative and seek a deeper meaning to our works of art. We can choose to be an individual free flying deviant or we can join groups until our hearts are content. deviantART accepts all artists. Moreover, we can grow into volunteers, senior members, moderators, staff, there is far to much to list :nod: when you are a member of deviantART, the sky is the limit, how high can you fly?? Eyes

Hello dA!!!!

Hello Dear Friends and Watchers Hi!

I have been absent from dA for a long time! Many, many trials and challenges over several long months, and the long months turned into nearly a year or maybe a little over a year Waaaah!

It will take me a little while to get up to dA speed, there are several changes for me to learn and re-learn Confused Looking forward to chatting with everyone again. 

I have longed to return to my dA Home.

I am so glad to be home again I love deviantART!

Decisions, Decisions XDA huge thanks goes out to everyone who gave us feedback and ideas on our decision to attempt to help get some of the older wishes granted!
We did come to a conclusion... Well, actually YOU came to the conclusion for us! Through feedback and a poll, it has been decided that on March 1st, Wishbumps will be used to help grant not just selfless wishes but also the older wishes! We will also be implementing a system where, after each wish is granted, members will have a longer waiting period.
The new granted wish system...
1st wish granted: next wish available in 60 days
2nd wish granted: next wish available in 120 days
3rd+ wish granted: next wish available in 1 year UNLESS...
the member grants 6 purchasable or non-purchasable wishes at which time the wait is only 6 months (donations to TheWishingWidget are also considered)
The FAQ will be updated on March 1st to reflect these changes, and our first *NEW* and *OFFICIAL* wishbump for older wishes will sh An Artist offering Language Tutoring via SkypetherealAmia-chan is offering Japanese language lessons and English language lessons via Skype. The lessons are in Basic Japanese and Advanced English. They cost $30 an hour, and therealAmia-chan will do a free consult through webcam with audio on Skype to see what level interested parties are on before any actual lessons begin.
Her hours are fairly flexible. She is aiming to teach five hours a day, Monday thru Friday at a minimum. There are still slots open, so if you are interested in a free consult and possibly learning or improving your Japanese or English language skills, note therealAmia-chan :heart:
Tuesday Treats: The Best of Friends... life wouldn't be fun without friends ...

February is all about sharing the love and giving back! deviantHEART, a group we are affiliated with whose goal is to "Promote Positivity," is hosting an event, "14 Days of Features" (courtesy of one of their amazing admins, Astrikos!). On Day 14 (Valentine's Day), there will be a huge feature on what YOU think of LOVE! No need to join the group. No need to watch the group. If you want to participate, simply note Astrikos with your thoughts on love or love-related deviations. Or, you can comment on the February Noms that come out on the 1st with your thoughts, and the Well will send them to deviantHEART. Get lovey-dovey! Get featured! Be happy!

SAVALISTE has been one of the most helpful deviants I've had the pleasure to come across here on DA  ... Always ready to extend a helping hand OLD Wishes :/The admins have been chatting about some items in the Admin Area, and one of the items on our agenda will be addressed starting March 1st. This blog is to alert all the members of this coming change.
We have noticed (nothing escapes our attention here) that some wishes have sat on the Wishlist for nearly a year while some members have had their wishes granted several times over.
:star: But how can this happen?
This can happen because we draw wishes at random. So we now have some members who have been loyal and active members for nearly a year whose wish has NEVER been granted while new or less active members have had wishes granted a few times. We tried to help this issue a little while back when we went from a 30 day waiting period to a 60 day waiting period for wishes after the first was granted... But this has not helped.
:star: So, what are we doing about it?
To remedy this issue, we will still be drawing wishes at random (this will never change) BUT
