I need to say something.
A few months ago, dA launched Stash Writer. I'm not using the period, because I can't remember where it goes and nobody cares anyway.
When they launched it, it kinda sucked. For many reasons, which I won't go into here, because it's not important.
What's important is what happened then, and what happened since. I will enumerate the earth-shaking developments here:
1. Stash Writer happened at all.
2. They improved it since.
Now, in the short time I've been hanging around here, one of the most-repeated whines is that dA doesn't give a shit about writers or the Literature community. Trust me when I say that this no

Simple Sta.sh Tutorial
What is Sta.sh?
Sta.sh is a new system for submitting art to dA. You can find the link in your 'submit' menu. Why use it?Main advantages are that you can submit deviations faster, from more places (currently with apps for android, iPhoto, mac, iOS, etc., as well as from email and FTP) and you can keep them private if you want. You can then share it only with those people you want - for example to ask their opinion before submitting it to your gallery. How to submit?Submitting basically happens in two parts. Upload the file Image- and other filesSubmit files from your computer by clicking
Sta.sh Writer HTML Improvements by DEVlANT, journal
Sta.sh Writer HTML Improvements
Hey Folks :wormnomnom:
As you probably know by now, Sta.sh Writer is a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) writer allowing you to see a live preview of what your journal, blog, poem or story will look like and edit it's appearance by highlighting text and clicking buttons.
What are the Improvements?
One of the more common pieces of feedback we get from deviants about Sta.sh Writer is that it's not as useful for power users; people who want more control over their layout and want to be able to use their own HTML to give what they write that extra bit of flare.
So what has been done about it?
To make Sta.sh Writer the best it possibly can
New Sta.sh File and Edit Menus by DEVlANT, journal
New Sta.sh File and Edit Menus
Hey Beta Folk
We've got a great update to Sta.sh for you all to have a look at :eager:
To make managing your Sta.sh easer we've added File and Edit menus into the Sta.sh header
What do the new File and Edit Menus do?
With the new file and edit menus we aim to make managing your Sta.sh a whole lot easier.
The two menus make existing functions like the renaming and merging of Sta.sh items into a stack easily accessible as well as adding in "Select All" and "Import to Sta.sh Writer" allowing you to easily create a blog of sketches for your newest creations in writer, straight out of Sta.sh!

Sta.sh Feedback My primary use for the Sta.sh system would be to work on my journal skin projects behind the scenes. I can store all of my image files, edit the CSS and have a live preview of my skin in action without cluttering my journal. However, there are some setbacks I would like to address.
Live View: Concerning the Live view, it is an inaccurate representation of the actual skin in a few ways. First, the width. It has a fixed maximum that will cut off anything that overhangs. The side menu limits the amount of space for the width of the Sta.sh deviation, making it hard to tell what the skin will actually look like. Especially w

A little while ago, we released the first Sta.sh Updates article. The response was amazing.
We've fixed some of the issues you brought up last time, but there's still plenty to do. We've also been working on a lot of details that didn't come up in the feedback. It's a big list, so get ready!

:bulletblue: Sta.sh now supports keyboard shortcuts! Hit up, down, left, right, and hit the Delete/Backspace key to remove any selected items. Hold the Shift key as you move around with the arrow-keys to select a bunch of files at once! - Added by kouiskas (https://www.deviantart.com/kouiskas)

About a month ago we announced Sta.sh and Sta.sh Writer -- not as a hot topic, but we soft-launched to the hq (https://www.deviantart.com/hq) membership and to the more savvy deviants who follow along when we release things.
Development of both products has never stopped and will continue in an ongoing manner moving forward.
Below, I've outlined a change log that tracks recent Sta.sh progress and also identified Known Issues that we're aware of and actively working on.
